I thought I would take you on a little journey back in time today, back to my light bulb moment that caused me to re-think everything I thought I knew.

Did you grow up using Johnson & Johnson baby powder?
Did you then turn around and use it on your own babies??
Did you ever think to question the ingredients or ever have a thought that this could be harmful??
Absolutely not! Why? Because it was on the store shelves and why would this company want to sell something that could harm you!
Remember the lawsuit where this company had to pay out billions of dollars to women because said powder contributed to their ovarian cancer?
Why am I telling you this? Because this is one of the realizations that solidified for me the fact that you can't always take everything at face value.
It is your responsibility to dig deeper.
I used Johnson & Johnson baby powder on my girls.
I never questioned.
Until one day I did (and I only wish I had done it sooner).
I started flipping bottles, reading labels, researching ingredients, and you know what I found...
"The National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health studied 2,983 ingredients in our products AT HOME and found 884 toxic ingredients. The shocking studies showed that:
- 314 of them caused biological mutations
- 218 caused reproductive problems
- 376 caused eye and skin irritation
- 778 were toxic to the human body
- 146 (they knew) caused cancerous tumors
but they were all allowed in the US, even though they were banned in other countries around the world."
This is what I was exposing my family to, and I was infuriated.

So what are we to do when we realize that these companies that we have come to trust could care less about our well being and are only concerned with the bottom line???
We take back control of our health and wellness.
We decide we are going to step up and take action.
We realize that it is time for a change.
We determine that we are going to make it happen!!
Don't take chances anymore with your families health! You are the gatekeeper of your home, you have a say in what crosses the threshold and you can say no more to the toxin-filled garbage! You can do your diligent research, become a label reader and don't settle for products with ingredients whose names you can't pronounce. You can find a company founded on integrity, with a passion for people over profit that is putting out safe, quality products that you can feel comfortable using on your family and in your home.
Don't sit back and say, "Well, I've been doing it this way for years, why change now?"
Don't give into the lie that 'it doesn't matter'.
